Training Africa’s Next Generation of Cycling Legends at ARCC, Rwanda
The Africa Rising Cycling Center (ARCC) is a premier training and development hub for cycling, located in Musanze, near Ruhengeri in Rwanda’s Northern Province. Officially inaugurated on June 15, 2014, the center was established through a partnership between Team Rwanda Cycling, the Rwandan Cycling Federation (FERWACY), the Ministry of Sports and Culture of Rwanda, and with support from the UCI.
At ARCC, the mission is to nurture Africa’s next generation of cycling talent. Through its comprehensive Youth Program, the center identifies and develops promising young athletes, equipping them with world-class training, academic support, and essential life skills.
Brenda had the privilege of speaking with cyclists from the Junior and U-23 Men’s MTB Camp, led by coaches Leo Van Zeeland, Louis Van Zeeland, and Olympic coach Nathan Byukusenge.
