Vice Versa Global was founded in March 2021. We are a news and media platform founded by young African journalists and powered by Vice Versa of the Netherlands.

This platform is a response to the fact that young African journalists have taken the initiative to demonstrate their desire to be the creators and curators of their continent’s stories. As youthful African storytellers, we have encountered a superior African story to tell.

Our Ambition

Our ambition is to ignite a social movement of young people who will saturate the media and journalistic environment. By fostering youth engagement through media and journalism, we hope to bring a new and youthful viewpoint on issues so as to influence how media shapes the dominant cultural, social and political picture.

The art of storytelling has evolved greatly over time. Positive elements should be given due prominence in our storytelling. Journalism for social change is central to our purpose of bringing you the most compelling stories and inspiring action

By spotlighting the efforts and opinions of young people on a variety of vital issues, we seek to educate you about how young people think in order to utilize their unique perspectives to effect constructive and lasting change in our society.

Our Mission

Our mission is to spark and propagate positive change in our capacity through telling the untold, authentic positive stories.

Our Vision

Lead in the creation of a more equitable and just society through storytelling.

Our Core Values

Diversity and Inclusivity

It takes people with different ideas, strengths, interests and cultural backgrounds to succeed. In this context, we appreciate people’s differences through equitable storytelling by unearthing and valuing real and honest experiences beyond our own.

By upholding the highest standards of integrity in all our actions, we promise to serve you in truth with clarity and unbiased information that promotes human dignity.

We hold ourselves responsible for accomplishing our set goals of telling the genuine positive untold stories that are out there while at the same time attaining autonomy in our roles as individuals so as to strive for excellence.

Youth Oriented

As a platform headed and run by youth, we strive to cater to this neglected demographic by showcasing their accomplishments on all our platforms.
