
KOREA AFRICA SUMMIT 2024: SHARED GROWTH, SUSTAINABILITY, AND SOLIDARITY
History is being made as Korea extends a landmark invitation to African leaders to convene in Seoul for the inaugural “Korea Africa Summit”. This groundbreaking event, themed “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity”, aims to foster unprecedented cooperation between Africa and Korea.

From June 4-5, 2024, dignitaries from 50 African nations, including Ghana’s IPMC Executive Director, will gather to address pressing global challenges such as food security, supply chain stability, health security, and climate change.
In a remarkable achievement, Vice Versa Media Ghana has been selected as the sole media partner to cover this momentous occasion, comprising the Cosmo Beauty Exhibition and the Korea Africa Business Summit. This distinction comes on the heels of Vice Versa Media Ghana’s successful partnerships with various organizations, including IPMC Ghana, and is made possible through the support of the Korean Embassy and Mr. Amar Deep Singh Hari.
THE COSMO BEAUTY EXHIBITION
According to the International Trade Administration, South Korea in 2023 was the third largest exporter of cosmetics after France and the United States of America. The country is well versed in the production of skin care product; hence, the Korean Made Cosmetic Products were valued at 1.3 billion dollars in 2020.
Organized by the Korea International Exhibition Co. LTD (KIECO), the 38th Seoul International Cosmetics and Beauty Industry Expo invites business owners and representatives of the various Korean Based cosmetic industries, to exhibit their products to a much wider and diverse consumer base.

The event seeks to encourage the use of advance technology to recommend beauty products to consumers thereby ensuring a high satisfaction rate and contributing to the general wellbeing of their customers as part of their efforts to promote a healthy beauty lifestyle.
THE KOREA AFRICA TRADE SUMMIT
The Korea Africa relations dates back to the 1950s when Korea faced a difficult time due to Wars. With help from African countries like Ethiopia, South Africa, Liberia, Egypt and Morocco, Korea gained the victory. Korea has since established diplomatic ties with other African Countries including attaining AU observer status in 2005.
Korea and Africa have since deepened the relations by expanding their cooperation in diverse fields such as trade, investment, infrastructure, technology, defense, minerals and energy among others.

For the first time ever, Korea is inviting African Leaders to Seoul to bring strong mutual cooperation between Africa and Korea by organizing the First of its kind “The Korea Africa Summit”. Under the theme “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity”, the summit seeks tackle global issues around food security, supply chain stability, health security and climate change.
