Vice Versa Global Zero Hunger Special Issue
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vice Versa Global launched its Autumn/Winter Issue on the September 20th, 2023 . It is a Special Publication focusing on attaining the Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger.
It explores efforts to address food security and eradicate hunger in Africa by 2030 and takes stock of where the continent stands as we come to the middle of the SDG’s term line. It also showcases the progress made in Africa through innovative solutions and local knowledge to combat hunger.
Titled ‘Africa can feed herself – Charting the continent’s path towards food security,’ the issue was launched on September 20th, 2023, at Rowallan Camp, Nairobi. It coincided with Vice Versa Global’s SDG Community Festival.
In addition, this issue portrays an able continent. It is able to feed itself and uphold food security in the face of emerging factors such as climate change, advancing deserts, floods, population boom, etc.
Major stakeholders, including the World Food Program (WFP), FAO, governments, and civil society organisations, should adopt the change illustrated by this issue and offer feasible and sustainable alternatives to combat hunger.
You can also find more information about Vice Versa Global and copies of the Special Issue—which will be distributed globally—at www.viceversa.com.
This special issue has been made possible through partnerships with Fair, Green & Global (FCG) Alliance; the Hunger Project Netherlands, Sowing Diversity – Harvesting Security (SD-HS), SNV, Wageningen University & Research (WUR); Netherlands Food Partnerships (NFP), World Vision, ZOA and Woord en Daad.
